Minlaton Caravan Park sit about 205kms (roughly two hours’ drive) north-west of the Adelaide CBD, in the scenic township of Minlaton. A 3.5-star Caravan Park in the centre of the Yorke Peninsula, South Australia, a region widely known as the “barley capital of the world”.
The Yorke Peninsula is a major coastal and agricultural region in South Australia, famously shaped like a boot or leg that points directly into the Southern Ocean. It spans 5,899 square kilometres between two large gulfs, Spencer Gulf and Gulf St Vincent. Known affectionately by locals as “YP”, it is a premium domestic holiday playground offering a blend of historic mining culture, rich farming history and over 700 kilometres of pristine coastline.
Our central location gives guests easy access to both sides of the Peninsula, making Minlaton Caravan Park a convenient base for day trips to picturesque beaches, farmland, historic shipwrecks and lighthouses, unique water-tower art, expansive salt lakes and a relaxed selection of local breweries, wineries and distilleries.
Offering a range of modern and luxury accommodation, including Villas, Accessible Villas, Cabins, Pet Friendly Cabins, Sites, Two Six Four (off-site) Luxury Accommodation Rooms and superb facilities Camp Kitchen and BBQ’s, Laundry, Fish Cleaning Facilities and Kids Play Area.
Set on a spacious allotment of abundant native trees, open space and local wildlife, the park is a short walk from the Minlaton Town Centre, cafes, shops, visitor information centre and Watsacowie Brewing Co.
Nearby family attractions include a playground, skate park, BMX track and walking trails, adding plenty of convenient entertainment options to your stay.

Glenn & Amy are the proud owners of the Minlaton Caravan Park.
They acquired it in October 2019, after many family holidays to the Yorke Peninsula and falling in love with the relaxed country lifestyle.
A family owned and operated park, behind every warm welcome and every campfire is a small, hands-on team spanning reception, housekeeping, maintenance and guest services and a workforce they’re genuinely proud of.
Providing great accommodation is about more than just a place to stay — it’s about providing our guests with a safe, welcoming and comfortable environment. We take the time to listen to our guests, identify their needs and implement practical improvements that make a meaningful difference.
Whether it’s upgrading facilities or offering friendly, hands-on service, Glenn & Amy are involved in every detail.
Their three young children are also part of the journey, adding to the park’s family-oriented charm.
Their passion shines through in everything they do, you’ll often see them around the park, making sure each guest feels right at home.
Together, they’ve created a park where memories are made, and guests return year after year.
- The Journey
Since 2019
Since acquiring the Minlaton Caravan Park in October 2019, Glenn & Amy have poured their heart and soul into creating a welcoming park for all guests.
2022 – saw the off-site construction of two Villas, officially opened for guests late 2022 along with a New Camp Kitchen and BBQs, Storage Shed and additional Sites.
2023 – two more Villa offically opened for guests, including a Accessible Villa.
2026 – a new era of accommodation opened, in March we opened Two Six Four Accommodation – an off-site extension of the park featuring four luxury, self-check-in accommodation rooms in the town’s former Country Women’s Association building.
