The placid semi protected waters of both St Vincent and Spencer Gulfs are an attraction for Sailing and wind Surfing enthusiasts. Surfing is becoming increasingly popular and Innes National park is home of the great "Billabong Surf Classic".

Bushwalking and Bike riding
Situated just 1 hour drives from the beautiful Innes National Park a series of walking trails have been developed. Guides can be obtained from the Visitors Reception Centre at the parks entrance. Minlaton together with many other towns have also developed their own walking trails, some Award Winners!
Captain Harry Butler Memorial
The major attraction in Minlaton is the the Captain Harry Butler Memorial which has the extraordinary Red Devil preserved inside. Captain Harry Butler purchased this plane from the British government and shipped it to South Australia in 1919 and used it to carry airmail from Adelaide to his home town of Minlaton.
H J Cook Fauna Park
The H.J. Cook Fauna Park is situated across from the Caravan Park and adjacent to the Harry Butler Memorial. It is home to a wide variety of kangaroos, wallabies and emus. The parks shady areas provide excellent picnic opportunities.
